Georgia – adopted

maci

This sweet senior gal around 12 years old, is looking for a very special home – could you be the one? She bonds very closely to one person, but can be slow to warm up at first. Don’t let this scare you away, though! She’s a loyal, loving little dog that will dance with happiness when her new person comes into view. This teeny girl just loves to sit next to you on the couch, or snuggle up on your lap. If you’re someone who likes to sleep with a dog, she would love to climb under the covers with you (if not, she’s very happy to sleep in her own bed). She does brilliantly in the car, especially if there is a warm lap to cuddle up on.

She has a few little quirks, but ultimately, she’s a wonderful dog with a lot of love left to give.

She would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time, so an adopter who is a retiree would be perfect!   she does need to go out to the bathroom every few hours ..  She is completely indifferent to cats, but would like to be the only dog, if possible. She seems tolerant of other small dogs in the home, but isn’t terribly fond of large dogs. She has lived in a home with older children, and we would recommend a home with no young children, as she is quite tiny.

She has had a full dental, and is up-to-date on all vaccinations. Please email us at info@brokenpromisesrescue.com for more information

Broken Promises Rescue is a volunteer run, not-for-profit, animal rescue organization located in the lower Vancouver Island. We are a group of long time rescuers that have come together to focus on improving the lives of unwanted, neglected and orphaned animals on Vancouver Island (as well as remote communities and other areas of B.C. if our resources allow us to.) Currently we are seeing many pets overlooked in the shelter system because they have less than desirable qualities. They may have medical or behavioral issues or they may simply be the wrong color, age or breed. At Broken Promise Rescue we believe all animals deserve to experience a life without pain, loneliness or hunger and want them to know what it feels like to be loved and cherished, despite appearance, age or medical condition. We are also dedicated to public education and raising awareness to help end the ongoing abuse, neglect and suffering. Educating children and adults about the responsibilities of animal ownership will go a long way in influencing public opinion on proper animal care, and help mold a more compassionate future. No animal should suffer at the hands of ignorance.
